How to pass variables between php scripts?

Question

I want to call function of one php file into second php file and also want to pass 2 parameters to that function. please suggest me how can i do this? please give me an example. You can provide me some links if you have. Thank you in advance.

Great! this is working for simple two php scripts thank you. But my requirement is i have two php files i have to retrieve the data from the database to first php file and in second php file i have to call that variable which is retrieved from the database.
