how to publish the website

i developed one website which contain some aspx ,one master page,aspx.cs pages
i need to publish that website on the net
but i am new to .net i don't know how to publish
and how to put the website on the net

please help me its very urgent

Don't browse to the master page. It's meant to be used with an aspx.

First of all do you have a window server to run your site? If you do if you are using the EXPRESS version you can not do publish website but you can do copy website (Wesites->Copy website) Then you have to login via FTP to the web server if somebody else hosted for you or choose other methods to copy all of your file to the webserver.

Won't that create a precompilled site? I allways upload the offical source and changes the structor and the config file that's the only way that totally works for me and I know what's going on that way.

thank u for your help i did the same thing as you said when i browse MasterPage. master from the inetmgr its give me an error that is XML Parsing Error: not well-formed Location: http://localhost/CKOM/MasterPage.master Line Number 1 Column 2: App_Web_ucr--_w- %> how to solve this one

For Publish the website in VS2005: Go to: Build:Publish WebSite. After that: Put the file in the server and go to inetmgr from run.Go to default website right click on default website Go to new taskvirtual directory Give the Alias(your Website name) then browse the path where you have kept your publish file and complete the formalities.
