How to read MS Word file in C#?

Question

I want to read a MS Word file using C#. but when i use StreamReader for this pupose its shows some acsii characters but not the real text in the file. How can I read the actual text in MS Word Fiie?

this link describes the typing operation in MS Word but not the read operation.I need that and also i want 2 confirm that this component is compatible for word 97 and heigher.
