How to Run a DLL in client machine

Hi
I have a DLL which currently runs in the server and it is used to access a device but i want it to run in the Client machine to access a device in the client machine I have a ASP.NET C# web application

How do i do this??

This is only possible Let the client system download ActiveX control or Java applet that you embed into the web page and let that control or applet do the rest. THis is possible only given that the user grants permissions to do this otherwise it would be breaking into the user's computer.

Hi Obviously the Answer is YOU CANT. But You could do something in the form of 1) Having IE host a .NET Control via your page 2) Sign the assembly that contains the control 3) Grant Full Trust to the assembly on the client That should give the control sufficient permissions to modify the computer. The trick is step #3. For that you would need 1) Have the client user manually grant the assembly sufficient trust 2) Host a separate ActiveX control that grants the assembly trust. Will you think that you can achieve this?
