How to select just the date and add

Question

please assist me with the following;

previously we had to add 15/12/2012 and we gpt a total 4

now i need to just add the date which is 15 = 1+5 = 6

i have the date in label1
i need text box 6 to equal 6

If the date will always be in mm/dd/yyyy format then replace this line: string date = label1.Text.Split('/')[0]; with this one: string date = label1.Text.Split('/') [1] ;

Hallo Valpes Can u help me with this . I have gone tru google and some of the refer in this site but i cannot find anything. I have in Excel 2003 the following APPROACH ME 80 BL AL 60KG HAPPY AL 60 BL 60KG As you can see the text to columns wont work. I need just APPROACH ME AND HAPPY AL and dnt need the rest Can you help please. I normally export this as is to sql and then manually delete.

thanks Vulpes. Only 1 problem. The label date is 12/15/2012 (which is 15 dec 2012) i want to add the 15=6 This code adds 12 = 3
