How to show AJAX UpdateProgress bar when reading SQL record

Hello my code masters Happy Holiday to you all and may the usher us into a healthy and prosperious new year. I need your help on using AJAX Update Progress Bar. I am reading patient medical detail from three view which contains tables that have relationship (I inherit the project though) these Views have 3000+ records. my work is to use the views to generate xml from it i want to use the AJAX UpdateProgress bar to show the progress by way of showing  reading 2 files out of 3050 files  and a progress image. i have used updatePanel combining it with UpdateProgress Bar it shows for some time and disappear after word while the program is still generating xml files. i really need your help and many thanks in advance.

Thank you very much Ali Tuncer how can i assign the total number of records to the AsyncPostBackTimeout e.g if the total number of records is 3050 i want it to start counting from 1 to 3050. At PageLoad event i have a method that return the total number of record RecordCnt = GetTotalRecord(); I want the RecordCnt to be pass to AsyncPostBackTimeout . thank you all

As far as I know ajax update panel will have timeout after 90 seconds by default..you can make this time longer by setting AsyncPostBackTimeout property in scriptmanager..Here I set it to 300 seconds.. asp : ScriptManager ID =ScriptManager1 runat =server AsyncPostBackTimeout =300> asp : ScriptManager >
