How to Survive in First Job

Question

Hello  i am MCA student and Got a job Through College placement as a .NET Developer  so i want to ask that what should i do to survive easily  Because many of my senior's told me that in Development industry they frustrate you and work load is too much within low salary  im am worried for that so give me suitable advice please

Hey @Manav Pandya first of all congratulation for the new job !!!. I am too MCA student and I too got selected by my campus interview as .NET developer but later I was shifted to SharePoint department and since last 1.5 years I am working as SharePoint Developer. Seniors are not wrong they are telling the things which they have felt in past. But remember seniors are not always right . I am coming to your each and every point one by one. Development industry frustrate you: Its depend on our self. I am not talking in the favor of any company but if company is hiring you and investing in you then they will at least expect some productivity from you. If you are not up to the level that company can't earn revenue from you then might they put pressure on you to work hard. As you are at the starting stage of your job you consider yourself as a learner. As you have just passed the MCA then you will still have learning power. So utilise this power and learn. Study the business requirement of your organization and prepare yourself to fit according to them. If you are a great learner you will never frustrate Workload is too much as compared to salary: This is valid point but as a fresher we have to adjust with this salary only. And I believe there is nothing workload. Its like we are not capable to complete the task in given time because we are not aware about some points. So rather than considering workload as load take it as learning session and try to manage the task in given time and prove yourself. Once you have proved yourself then salary will be as per your capability and after working one-two year if you are not happy with the salary then change the job. I am telling all of the above points based on my own experience. So just avoid all the fear of new job and just work and prove yourself. @ManavPandya My advice is: be honest. Be honest with your coworkers your employers and above of all be honest with yourself. If you do not know something tell the true. Say you will research and learn about it. Learn more than one technology. I think this will be a diferencial for you. And again study more and more. Technology changes every day.
