Hi I have Item Master the fields are Itm_No numeric(18 0) Itm_Code nvarchar(50) Itm_Desc nvarchar(500) Itm_UnitPrice numeric(18 4) the data's are 1 00001111 HP Laptop 14.3310 2 00001112 Dell Laptop 14.3541 3 00001113 samsung 14.1000 what i want only take the exact decimal place. 1 00001111 HP Laptop 14.331 2 00001112 Dell Laptop 14.3541 3 00001113 samsung 14.1 Thanks Basit.

in SQL declaring a field as numeric(18 4) means it stores 4 digits precision after decimal point. If you want to show the decimal fraction without trailing zeros then you can cast the value to float. run this query in SQL and you will get your answer: select cast(123.4000 as numeric(184)) as 'Numeric Format' cast(cast(123.4000 as numeric(184)) as float) as 'Float Format' here is the answer:
