Learn VC++ or VC# ??

Hi Folks:

I've been a VB developer for 10+ years, and I'm planning to move on to VC. I know the basics of software design, but I know nothing about the C-type languages.

I want to be able to write Windows Applications, with the occasional option to get into low-level stuff.

Should I learn VC++ , or VC#? I know nothing about the languages, so I'd be a real beginner.

I can buy either 2005 or 2008 version.

Which would you recommend to learn? And why?

I would suggest VC# unless you want to write some low level code. You do not need to buy VS 2005 or 2008. You can use Express version for learning purposes. They are pretty much fully functional. Here is a good starting page: http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/Beginners/
