Migrating a delphi application to C#.NET

Question

I'm in the process of migrating a delphi application to C#.NET but when I add a dataset to my project and I select all the tables I will need to use, my computer slows down significantly and I end up with a out of memory error. So what are the best practices when your application is going to be using a large amount of tables and Stored Procedures.

Hi Friend If you load all the table and records at the beggining into memory it of course will cost lots of memory. The correct way to handle this situation is load data on demand.

Hey is it good practice to put code in the DataSet.cs file? Or should I stay away from that?

I was just thinking that. Actually I found what I was doing wrong. I added a DataSet then I went to the menu bar clicked on Data/Add New Datasource and that's not I'm supposed to do so I stand corrected. As you can tell I'm a little rusty with my C#. Thanks
