my jquery is not working

Question

my jquery is not working .sometime i get error as $(...).datatable is not a function $ is undefined $is not a functionc is undefined why it occur to me what to do now is any one here to solve me the problem and understand whats the problem is

see my file is placed like this when i arranged in this way C:/Users/sourabh/Documents/Visual Studio 2013/Projects/Particular/Particular/Contents/plugins /plugins/datatables/plugins/bootstrap/dataTables.bootstrap.js now i am getting jquery isnot defined

Hi If the aspx page (not script) is inside any folder then you have to reference the script with a ../ ../ Contents/plugins/jquery-1.11.0.min.js type=text/javascript>

Hi. This problem is arising due to jquery is not initialized in your page. So for that you need to use jquery in your page or if you are using master page then also declared in master and use it in sub page. Ex: You should do like this. thanks.
