new technology mvc,silverlight etc

Dear sir,

 

 i am a dot net developer,i am currently working in a company and i have 2.5 year of experiance  in this company,i am handling vas services and my company uses very old technology of dot net ,i want to switch but other company wants latest technology can u please help me with your guidence how should i learn new technology i.e mvc,silver light etc
