hi my cliant need to play videos they are uploading video to application what the need this videos need to play there custmers custemers having no inernet so poosible to play videos off line Hi any possible to play videos wihtout internet youtube are uploading videos in web application

The HTML5 Video tag can help you to playback media files offline if they are located locally (or even streamed). However the HTML5 tag has limited support on video sources. It supports MP4 and Ogg formats. If the formats of your videos are not supported by the tag you can do the following to support playing videos offline: 1. Convert the videos to suitable media formats such as MP4. 2. Save the result MP4 media file locally on the server side so that you can stream it to the client (user) when he wants to play the video offline. The conversion and streaming can be done using DirectShow functions but these functions are somewhat low-level and might require extra work to finish this approach. Alternatively you can use a programming toolkit that provides higher-level .NET classes and encoders for this type of conversions. Store the Videos in a folder in your running application. Then you can play offline.
