How do I bring up directly from code the wizard Data link properties i need this to be able to configure a connection string later from the application?

This might help if you want to do it in VB.net. Create a process and execute a UDL file. This then makes windows use the wizard if the file type UDL on the machine is set to use Microsoft Data Access - OLE DB Core Services.
