RA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name

Question

Hi guys I have a web application developed in Visual Studio 2008 framework 2.0 having oracle database at backend. When I tries to run the applicatoin on Visual Studio I got following error: RA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name Initially I thought it's TNS issue however ; later I deployed it to IIS and it stat running perfectly. The reason I did this is because this applicatioin was running on another PC perfectly. Can some body tell me what am I missing. any help in this regards would be heighly appreaiaty.

Hi javaid I run the command you mentioned and got following output. I think this is not the issue with TNS path this is the issue with user rights because when I run the same project in IIS (means deploy web site to iis) it starts working fine the problem it is visual studio is not able to access TNS. Hi Ali Please go to the command prompt of the machine where this is not working and type the following: tnsping check the output and let us know.
