run program in a lan

hi...
I have developed a billing software.it is about to run in a lan.so the database should be in one system.so that all the data is saved in one database.then how can i make it possible?is there any easy way to do at installation time to select the database.Or do i need to write code for selecting the database in my program.
help me please ...its urgent..

While installing the application get the path or server name and store it as a global variable.....use this global variable in connection string of all form or dll wherever u have written the connection string and accessed data... Just an idea.....

You need to install SQL Server in Main Computer where you about to store ur database ..when ur software run for first time it will create database on the Server by Firing Stored Procedure there on server from local machine .. after database is created every client software can use the databse ..that is on the server ..

hi you can access database on lan. Just you need to configure your databse server. Go Program Files -> Microsoft SQL server 2005 -> Configuration Tools -> SQL server Surface Area Configuration.
