Hi You should try like this public float Salary { get; set; } Emp e=new Emp(); e. Salary= 500102; Console.WriteLine(The Emp salary is:{0}e.Salary); Regards Iftikar

you can use but you are asking to set the value by using set property SET is used for setting the value and GET is used for getting the value. So if you try like this then you will get error for getting the value you need to define get property like this private float fsalary = 20000; public float Salary { set { fsalary = 500102; } get { return fsalary; } } Regards Iftikar
