show message no records found if no item matches the search

Question

Hi frnds show message no records found if no item matches the search.If I type an item name for eg:mm there is no record with that nameso I expect it to display no records found.Now by default it is showing the header columns alone.(MVC-I think we have to write code in controller) Thanks in advance.
