How to hide grid view in asp.net using c#

Question

Am new to Asp.net. we created a grid view to display data in the webpage. intially the grid view data need to be hide. after clicking the search button it should get display according to the search criteria. please help.

You should consider the built-in functionality in the gridview itself like below: EmptyDataText=No Record Found runat=server> Which displays No Record Found text if no record is available. As an alternative you can put the gridview inside a div and hide it initially. When you hit the button you can show the grid . On Page Load If(!IsPostback) { grdGrid1.visible = false; } on Srarch button click Bind grid with data and write grdGrid1.visible = true;

Hi In your Page Load.. If you wan to hide gridview do like this. If(!IsPostback) { GridView1.Visible = false;// GridView1 is grid id } Hiding column in gridview GridView1.Columns[0].Visible = false; The answer is helpful.Then please accept it ..!!
