Stored Procedure in Sql Server

Hi I have a confusing in stored procedure in sql whether stored procedure returns a value or not . If it returns then what types of value we can returned by the stored procedure? Plz reply..

Yes stored procedure can return value. You can return result-sets (from select statements) or single value (you specify your data types) from your stored procedure. There are different ways to get return values from stored procedure. In some technique you are limited with return data type like when you use RETURN. Please go through the SQL Stored Procedures to know different techniques for getting return values.

Hi Stored procedure returns a value in the form of table. SELECT GETDATE() SELECT * FROM Employees And also you can return a value using the RETURN statement.
