Textbox Characters

Question

Hi
Suppose i have a textbox and a label control.I have to enter Character in the textbox(i can enter maximum 300 Characters).When i start entering the Characters ,in a label it will show characters values decreasing and after 300 characters entered in the textbox , we will not be able to insert any more characters.

Hi friend Insert the following code into the page head: function limitText(limitField limitCount limitNum) { if (limitField.value.length > limitNum) { limitField.value = limitField.value.substring(0 limitNum); } else { limitCount.value = limitNum - limitField.value.length; } } Step 2 - Create Text Area Use the following code to create the form and text area (if necessary change the name of the form and text area to suit your needs): (Maximum characters: 100) You have characters left.
