Upvote for answers

Question

With new Answers section i can see thumbs up and thumbs down. I believe it is kind of upvote and downvote  Isn't it? If yes then i am able to upvote multiple times for same answer. Couldnt it be one vote for a user?

Yes and answered user is also given up and down vote for his/her answer

I've never cared for the thumbs up/down feature anyway. All anyone reading a thread wants to know is whether an answer is 'accepted' or 'helpful' as far as the OP is concerned. Any other answers can be assumed to be of 'no help'.
