URL rewriting does work in iis 6.0 please help

Question

i have done url rewritting with help of this article

it work perfectly when i run locally

but when i try to run through the iis 6.0 it doesnt work

it shows the error of 404 page not found

what possible solutions are there can anybody help?

No It is possible with IIS6 also and thats why I have given you links. And you will get many links including open source /free tools for that. Please go through the links.

Prior to version IE7 there is no such mode_rewrite(which allows URL rewriting). As per my knowledge there is no standard free add-on to IE6 for this.
