Visual Studio Desktop App

Question

I would like to create a desktop app to display the in uncompleted tasks for users. We use SharePoint Online. Does anyone have some code samples to point me in the right direction or is this even possible. I would like users to update the tasks in the desktop app and have it update SharePoint Online.

You can use SharePoint Client Side Object Model Managed code to achieve this functionality. You will get few sample code snippets on MSDN. Search for 'List operations' keywords.
