What do you think of twitter?

Personally I think it's a crap cloud and bunch of crap is flyin around. Some of is like crap and others are getting it even if they don't want it.What Is your take?I noticed millions of tweeted about microsoft and skype deal and same numbers read. So tweeters posted from one another.

I think twitter is more like Stalker but with permission :). It's good if you like to stalk somebody and that person keep you posted. So good for kids teenagers technologists to keep themselves up to date with what their guys are doing. So perfect example as a Professional Trainer you can start tweeting what city you are provide training in and people can know from your tweets. Another example if I am writing a book and I want to let certain people know daily or hourly or minutely updates :).

Yes Twitter does seem to be more of a toy. Theoretically it could be very useful. I hear it being discussed a lot in the news. I created a Twitter account to foillow someone and then months later I realized I probably need to do something to receive the ... uhh ... tweets? I have not however done that yet. I am hoping that I can control who I receive messages (tweets) from and that would prevent crap; am I wrong?
