windows phone app can modify the website's database?

Friends I'm new to windows phone 7. I'm try to develpe an app. The user login details created by website and stored in a databse, that details may change (such as user name or pwd) if the user needed using windows phone app.how to modify the website's database from windows phone app?. Someone please help me.
