Would it be good idea to have a section where readers can submit topics on which they want to see the Articles ?

Hi  Would it be a good idea  to have a separate section called Article Request  In this section  Readers or members can submit their request for article . For example  If you want an article on Azure from Mahesh sir ; I would submit my request as Topic : Caching in Windows Azure Authors : Mahesh Chand Mike Gold or any other Author Priority : Urgent Looking forward for more input on the same

We need to know what a forum is for. This is a typical use of a sticky. There are other forums that I don't know what they are for especially the following forums: Bugs and Problems Forums Feedback Site Feedback & Suggestions The Site and Forums Feedback page does not help. Note that most people would not know to look at the Site and Forums Feedback page even if it did have a useful description. The name of the Ask the Author forum is less important if there is a useful description. I know I have said at least once that there should be an explanation of what those specific forums are for.

We have a category on the forums called Ask the Author where any body can request an article. Does that work? Or should we have something different? Or change the category name to Request an Article?

Sam I think it is not unnecessary to specify Author in request. What I see as reader thatr a particular Author writing for me on particular topic. I like the way a particular Author writes and I request him to write on a particular topic. If Author is not able to write on that topic s/he may route the request to open for all other authors or a particular authors. By doing this at the end of the day  a isomorphic relationship between author and reader will get nurture on dais of our site. Mahesh Sir Step 1 : Reader is requesting a particular Author for a particular topic Step 2 : If Author is not able on that particular topic  s/he can route the request to other authors. To encourage Authors to take article request seriously we can give them bit better award than regular author. Because I understand writing on demand is bit tougher. It will give an opporunity to authors also to take their level one up Thanks

Thank you Mahesh. I know I suggested that there be a place to suggest articles. Other forums have that kind of thing. I think it is unnecessary for the suggestion to specify who should write the article.

Dhanajay  We can add an article request forum category where users can request articles. The only issue is if somebody request an article for me on Azure I won't be able to provide them. I write on the technology I am currently working on :). Ideas? Suggestions? Sam  I am not announcing my articles. I am just testing some search enginens related results based on our recent changes in SEO and other algorithms. I am also testing our new Wiki section http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/wiki/ . This is just a test against Wiki vs. Forums for future articles and which approach is better and which approach search engines like the most. Please ignore C# Reference forum posts. Cheers!

Have a look in the Suggest an Idea section of this web site. You will find many interesting things there. To go there go to the home page and look around the bottom. I don't understand why Mahesh used this (C# References) forum to announce his article. If that is what he wants us to do then it would help if it were explained how it should work.
