WPF app that open an image file and draw rectangular areas

Hi All Please help on the approach on how will I be able to create an WPF application with requirements below: - The tool should allow the user to open an image file and draw rectangular areas on top of it that correspond to clickable portions of the image. - Once the rectangular areas are already placed on top of image the app will capture the Left Top positions and Height and Width of rectangular areas Thanks Jaypee

About viewing and loading an image I think you can implement this feature by using the standard System.Windows.Controls.Image class. You can find more information here: http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/uploadfile/mahesh/image-viewer-in-wpf/ About drawing a clickable rectangular area I don't think there is a direct way to do this using the default WPF classes. In this case you might need to use a programming toolkit (like leadtools) that supports annotations features (annotations can be considered as metadata or presentational markup).
