At the WWDC 2017 Conference, Apple has announced a new Machine Learning API named "Core ML".
Apple has been working hard on taking the Artificial Intelligence of mobile devices to new heights, and in this row, the company has announced this new tool which is specially designed for mobileAI so as to make it faster and more reliable.
The company says that the CoreML framework API will boost up the performance of AI tasks (face recognition, text analysis etc.) that are excuted on various mobile devices offered by Apple, such as iPhone, iPad, or Apple watches. And, the company boasts that with the CoreML integrated, Apple's iPhone will be able to recognize images six tmes faster than Google's Pixel.
Like other Apple products, CoreML will also be focusing on privacy and the data used for improving the UX of the device will be securely stored in customer's device only.
It is a time when all IT giants are working on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and we are getting announcements every other day. Be it Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, or Apple, everyone is trying to top the AI market with amazing offerings.
It will be interesting to see how smooth these technologies can make the transition of an ordinary device into an artificially intelligent smart robot, and how readily consumers adopt these offerings.
