Microsoft Launches Surface Laptop Powered By Windows 10 S

The May 2nd event of Microsoft has brought a delight to the students and teachers, with the announcement of some extraordinary services and products specifically designed to serve the education sector, such as – Windows 10 S operating system, Office 365 for Education with Microsoft Teams, free subscription to Minecraft: Education Edition etc.
 
The biggest announcement of today was Surface Laptop, a high-performance and powerful laptop notebook with sleek and robust design and high configuration.
 
Microsoft defines the device as “Thinner, lighter, faster” and “beautifully crafted”. The Surface Laptop is 13.5-inch touchscreen laptop, weighing 2.76 lbs with sleek design, 14.47mm being the thickest point. The device is equipped with PixelSense LCD Display, way longer battery life of upto 14 hours, Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, and the newly launched operating system Windows 10 S. Moreover, the i5-7200U 8GB/256GB model is available in 4 vibrant colors to give you a new surface experience.

The device is available in four different memory and processor configurations depending on the different pricing models, basic model starting from $999 to high-end model costing $2199.
Surface Laptop is available for pre-order from today, however, the shipping will be started from June 15, 2017.

“Customers can pre-order Surface Laptop starting today in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom where available at Microsoft Store, microsoftstore.com and BestBuy.com. Surface Laptop will come to China later this year and we will announce availability in other markets in coming months.”
