It seems that Nokia is all set to come back with a big bang this year. The company has currently launched a new Nokia 6 smartphone exclusively in China. This device runs on Snapdragon 430 processor which has been coupled with the latest
Android 7.0 Nougat OS. And now, we hear that Nokia is working on its very own voice assistant, especially designed for its upcoming smartphones.
As per the reports published on
GSMinfo.nl, Nokia has gone ahead and filed a trademark application for its Al-based assistant - Viki. This report has also gone on to state that Nokia is particularly asking for its trademark to be protected in EU and that ‘Viki’ will go on to combine all data sources in a single chat, as well as voice-based interface.
This is, of course, just a trademark filing, and there are probabilities that Nokia will take its time before it unveils an Al-driven voice assistant on its smartphones.
