Skype informs its users that they will no longer be able to download Skype WiFi application after March 31, 2017. All those who have Skype WiFi installed will, however, no longer be able to find or use the hotspots.
Microsoft is currently advising all users with Skype Credits to use it for calling mobile and landline numbers.
The company states,
“We're retiring Skype WiFi globally so we can better focus our efforts on bringing you the best possible experience through our core Skype features.”
