Windows Template Studio 1.5 Launched

Microsoft has today announced the launch of Windows Template Studio 1.5. The company claims that it has finalized the localization functionality in this new version, in addition to a couple of new features.

According to the official announcement, following are the updates in Windows Template Studio 1.5,

New Features:

  • Share source, share target
  • Multi-view
  • Feedback hub (added in v1.4)

 

Template improvements:

  • Minor tweaks for Fluent
  • Caliburn.Micro Support (added in v1.4)

 

Improvements to the Wizard:

  • Localization in all Visual Studio supported language
  • Adjusted the feature categories
  • Lots of under the hood bug fixes and code improvements
  • Much more Visual Basic engine work
  • Work for supporting multiple projects in a single solution
  • Work to support Prism
  • Bug fixes

You can update your version of Windows Template Studio to the latest build via Tools->Extensions and Updates wizard. If you are new, you can download the latest version from https://aka.ms/wtsinstall.

Apart from this information on updates, Microsoft has shared the future plans for Windows Template Studio project. There is a lot more coming its way, such as - Image Gallery feature, Web to App Link feature, VB support, Prism Support, Ink templates, Drag and Drop Service, performance improvements, UI improvements etc.

Since the project is open source on GitHub, Microsoft is seeking help from the community members to share their feedback and ideas.
