The Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award is a recognition from Microsoft for leaders and experts who are involved in community work related to Microsoft technologies.
Earlier last year, Microsoft acquired Xamarin, a mobile product company, that allows C# developers to build iOS and Android mobile apps. Similar to Microsoft MVPs, Xamarin also has its own Xamarin MVP program.
Now, all Xamarin MVPs will be transferred to Microsoft MVPs under Visual Studio Technologies Development and Technologies category.
All new Xamarin transferred Microsoft MVPs will have access to all benefits of the program, including technical subscriptions, direct connection to Microsoft product groups, and the exclusive opportunity to attend the Global MVP Summit. All of this is part of our ongoing commitment to foster a strong and vibrant community by providing new learning opportunities and continuing to support everyone’s growth as technical experts.
