Introduction
Windows 10 provides a few tools, like the Snipping Tool, Character Map, Steps Recorder and so on stored in a folder called Accessories. This folder is not easy to access because of vast changes in the new operating system. In this article, we will show how to easily find the accessories in Windows 10.
Users who were running the Windows 7 Operating System and now upgrade their Operating System to Windows 10 will be confused when they look for the accessories. The procedure for accessing the Accessories folder was different in Windows 7. The Accessories folder is accessible through the Start Menu of Windows 7. In the next operating system, due to changes of the Windows operating system interface, it became harder to find the Accessories folder. But the current Windows 10 is totally different. You can now see a few tools listed in the All Apps section of Start Menu whereas a few tools are still in the Accessories folder. Now, if you want to access some important tools then you need to get them in the Accessories folder. The procedure in this article is very easy and simple to follow and allow accessing the tools.
There are the following two ways to find the accessories in Windows 10.
Step 1
- In the first way, open File Explorer by pressing the Windows logo and then the File Explorer icon.

- Copy the following path and paste in the address bar of the File Explorer and press the Enter key.
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories
- This will show the available Windows 10 accessories in the Windows Accessories folder on your PC screen.

Step 2
- The other way to find Windows 10 Accessories is to click on the Windows logo on the left side of the Start Screen and click on the All Apps Icon on the toolbar.

- Select the Windows Accessories as one of the Categories by scrolling from the available categories.

- This contains a drop-down menu of all the shortcuts for that category. You can right-click any of these shortcuts and select Pin to Start or Pin to Taskbar.
