Live Layout in Word 2013

A new feature of Microsoft Word 2013 reflows text frequently as we drag a video, image or any kind of shape into a new position. Just release the mouse button and the object and surrounding text will stay where we placed it. In other words an image or some other object will smoothly move around where we want it relative to the text.

Let's have a look at the following steps:

  1. Go to Microsoft Word 2013.

  2. Now open the Blank Document template from the available templates.

  3. Now make some document and take some shapes in it.

To insert the shape we have to use the following steps:

    • First select the Insert menu option.

    • Now select the Shapes options from it.

    • Now choose a shape to insert and just drop the image into the document like this:

  4. Now if we want to set the shape somewhere else in the document we just have to move the image around in the document.

  5. Now we will see that the image flows smoothly throughout the text.

  6. And when we release the mouse button the text will stay in the position in which we want it to stay.
