Code Groups in C#

A code group is a logical grouping of code that fulfills a specific condition for membership. Any code that meets a code group’s membership condition is said to be in that code group. All security level administrators configure security policy by managing code groups. Code groups that build a policy tree are composed of two parts: a membership condition and a named permission set.

Table 22.2 lists the membership conditions for code groups and includes descriptions excerpted from the .NET Framework Configuration tool’s MMC console.
