Failed New Year’s Resolution

New Year comes and many of us make our new year's resolutions and some stick to them and some just loose track. I am one of those.

On Jan 01, 2013, I announced my New Year's Resolution on the forums and thanks to Suthish for reminding me again via his blog, Why should I write a blog.

I just revisited my new year's resolution that I announced on forums and I must confess, I am failing miserably in most of the categories.

Here is my list.

1. Get more connected with chapters and meet more C# Corner members (Local and International)
2. Visit family and friend more often
3. Get involved in more speaking engagement
4. Write more articles and blogs on C# Corner. Try to get 2000 Articles mark in year 2013.
5. Eat more fruits.
6. Do more exercise. Go to GYM more often.
7. Try to do ONE GOOD THING each day. 365 good things a year.

In my list of things, green items seems to be on track. Blue are work in progress. Red is definitely failing miserably and black items are the one that I have not paid any attention to.

Even I am failing my personal resolution, I am happy to announce that we are exceeding expectations on community side. And now, I am dedicated to improve C# Corner community platform by adding many more features and improve the user experience of existing functionality.

The Career Advice section launched earlier this year is working out just fine.

Recently, we launched Site Pulse feature that most of our members found very useful. We continue to improve our Chapters platform and more chapters are being added to the community.

I've been focusing a lot on creating an ecosystem in Philadelphia vicinity to build it a tech network hub by bringing many people together.

We are also adding more ebooks to our books section.

We are also focusing on Interviews and Jobs. Our goal is to also help our authors and members to pass interviews and get better jobs.

So, there are lot more excitement coming your way and this is going to be a fun ride for next couple of years. We have some very exciting features coming in next couple of years.

Cheers!
