When you try to open a SharePoint 2013 site from SharePoint designer , you may face the issue like "The server could not complete your request. For more specific information, click the "Details" button."
It happens due to Anonymous authentication is not enabled in the web application.
The solution is easy.
Launch IIS and go to the application pool and find the SharePoint web services and enable the anonymous authentication.
