Useful Links For SharePoint Online Sites - Part One

In part 1, we are going to see useful shortcut links for SharePoint Online sites which help quickly access the site as well as manage settings, activate features, add information in SharePoint sites, and enable or disable the settings etc.

To add the title, description, and logo

  • This page is used to add title, description, and logo for your site.

Open Site settings page

  • This page is used to look at and manage all the required settings for SharePoint site.

Quick Launch page to add new navigation Link

  • This page is used to change the links and headings in the Quick Launch.

To Update Top Link bar

  • This page is used to specify the links that appear at the top link bar of the site.

Enable Quick Launch and Tree View

  • Specifies whether the Quick Launch or tree view should be displayed to aid navigation.

Change the Site template look

  • You can change the “look and feel” by selecting the design you want to use and then customize the design with a new background, layout, colors, and fonts.

To Manage Site Features

  • Here, you can see and manage all the available site features.

Save Site as Template

  • Use this page to save your website as a site template solution. Users can create new websites from this template.

Reset to site definition

  • If you want to remove all customizations from a page (such as changes to Web Part zones or text added to the page) you can use this feature to reset to the version of the page included with the site definition.

Delete the SharePoint Site

 

  • Deleting your site will permanently delete all the content and user information.

Recycle Bin

 

  • In the recycle bin, you can see items deleted from all sites in this site collection.

  • This page shows all the websites that have been created. The URLs show the hierarchy of the various sites.
