Abstract properties in Non-Abstract classes

Question

Is this possible and if so how? Essentially what I have is this: Class A Class B : A Class C : B None of these classes are absract. In Class B I would like to have properties that must be overriden in class C. I know that I could accomplish this by setting up a serperate interface (Class: B I) but that does not seem as clean to me.

If a class contains abstract methods or properties it has to be an abstract class. Otherwise I'd force an implementation using an interface.

Yes you can implement virtual properties(they are also methods ^_^). But if you want to FORCE an object to implement certain methods the only way is to use an interface. You can't force an object to override a method.

Thanks for the reply. I could use virtual but I want to do is force the derived class to implement it. Also does virtual work for properties? I thought it only worked for methods.

you just could declare the properties as virtual instead of abstract: ----base class public virtual void Print(); ---override public override void Print(); I hope this is helpfull :)
