2 We cannot decide the technology. Technologies always grows up. We have to keep updating overself. If you wanna be a developer then always learn learn learn.
And as you said, the knowledge in .net technologies are more enough to work in a company. But please learn more in any technology. dont stick in one.
And for as a beginner dont start to learn at all once. Take as a baby step. Be strong in one and then one by one.
1 It is good that your track is changed to technical. As you are currently working on .net application, please focus more and learn more about from current project.
First try to findout opportunites inside your current company and if you have grab it, learn different technologies on Microsoft. If you don't get any opportunities then you should try out side. However, before trying outside you should be that much capable to grab it. It means, you need to learn more leatest technologies like webAPI, MVC, AZURE etc...
Hope this helps. Best of luck :)
0 I thank you Mr. Sundar for your valuable comment here. Actually right now I am trying to move a non technical profile to technical in .net development. I am not a college passout for a fresher job. I completed my MCA in 2012 almost 5 years ago. I am having experience but that is not relevant to .net profile, I don't think it will be beneficial for me in my career. I am passionate toward working on .net but not getting myself confident just because of these things and doubt and I need to have all of them cleared. As you asked "And for as a beginner don't start to learn at all once. Take a baby step. Be strong in one and then one by one." If you could list out these steps what to learn first and what next and how much would I have to cover to get a platform per my situation so that I can get my job switched in .net technology.
0 Thanks Manas for answering me over this. As I listed, there is no further opportunity to work for software development on .net technology here, So I will have to check for opportunities out side but currently I am having a very little bit of experience in development and also not expert in this technology just having a working knowledge. What do you think for me while looking for out side opportunities? Is this experience and knowledge (C#, asp.net,ado.net,Sql Server and MVC) sufficient to just get a plateform for my career. Actually I just need to start in development and really I am very excited to work and to learn. How much will it be difficult to move non technical profile to this development profile.
