C# and pdf files

Question

Is there a way that I can make my C# app look for specific data in a pdf file. Let me explain.
Im trying to build an app that will pull a credit report (the credit report comes to me in PDF form from the credit company) and then put certain info from the credit report into fields on my app.
I new to C# and Im kinda lost on this but Im willing to pay for someone to explain (not do) it to me. Thanks in advance

I haved written a few programs in the past that process reports (intended for people) to get the data for use by computers. One time when I was employed by Lockheed I wrote a program that parsed manufacturing instructions for how to build aircraft. Unfortunately processng data intended for people is often much more work than we would like. Hopefully it will be worth the time you spend and/or whatever else it costs you. Until a few years ago the format of PDF files were proprietary but a few years ago the format has become publicaly available and there is software available for reading and writing data in the PDF format. So you need to get some software that can read PDF files. I am not familiar with the details of PDF files and the format of them.
