create form

hey i need help with c# i want to create form in c# and i know how to drag buttonedit box and etc. (from the toolbox) and automaticly the code is creating - this is simple and i`m understand it.... the problam is : i want to change the code of the form(that create automaticly) and when i add for example another button all my changes is disappear how can i avoid ? what should i do? thank you in advance koby

hello thank you for your help but its not solved my problem. i have created a form with button : . . . private System.Windows.Forms.Button button1; public Form1() { InitializeComponent(); } . . . #region Windows Form Designer generated code private void InitializeComponent() { this.button1 = new System.Windows.Forms.Button(); this.SuspendLayout(); .... } #endregion i want to use this button as static type (because i want to use it in another classes) so i remove the this. in InitializeComponent() function but any time i add a new component(like textboxeditbox and etc.) the this. is back again what should i do to avoid this or what should i do if i want to use any component(textbox  treenode button and...) in many many classes (without inheritance)? thank you very much for your help koby

It sounds like you're putting your changes in the designer-managed code section. When you start a new WinForms project you see this: #region Component Designer generated code //Required by the Web Services Designer private IContainer components = null; /// /// Required method for Designer support - do not modify /// the contents of this method with the code editor. /// private void InitializeComponent() { } /// /// Clean up any resources being used. /// protected override void Dispose( bool disposing ) { if(disposing && components != null) { components.Dispose(); } base.Dispose(disposing); } #endregion Don't put your code anywhere in there! Put your code somewhere else and it will stick. If you want to change the code that runs when you start the program just change the form's load event or the form class's constructor.
