Deploying on a Shared Drive

Question

Hi, is it possible that i install my appln on a shared drive and give access to the appln to all the computers in that network because if i update my application , i manually need to uninstall and then reinstall the new package on each of the machine individually which is a real pain. Is there a way to over come this pblm , where the updated version is installed in one machine , and others just use the shortcut of the new package. But initially every machine has an installed version , so that each machine has the required dll files...
