.exe file will not run when i copy it another location

Question

I have a project in a clearcase vob at the moment and I would like to make the exe available for functional testing - however, when i copy the exe from the original location it will not run! What am I doing wrong here? I did the same process at the start and everything worked fine but now my code has expanded this problem has arisen...

Any help on this? Its is probably something simple I am doing wrong - new to c#.net environment!

Thanks for the replies. I was missing dependent dlls and hence the .exe would not run!

To avoid such problem coming when we run a project from one location to another need to create setup for it. Avoid using simple EXE copying because some dependent files missed out. Creating setup make a package includes all dependent files need to run an EXE.

Hi There can be many reasons for that. First check wheter you have .NET framework. Second check wheter the refrence asemblies are comming from right path Regards Puran kaushal
