FileSystemWatcher path with FTP (credentials)

My scenario is

I have to download a file automatically from FTP as file comes there ....

that's why i tried to work with File Watcher with Timer tick event but its locally working fine but not with FTP

so how can i manage all this task get done (i mean what to use)

You can't give FTP address to FileSystemWatcher because it is not designed to work with FTP. It basically operates by hooking to the file system objects (files directories mapped drives) and then passes file system events back to the application. In order to catch changes on FTP server you have to use FtpWebRequest class to list remote directory and then to compare it with previously known state. That is quite a piece of work if intended to be done correctly. Zoran
