FileUpload Size

Question

i have a big problem i have a fileupload contorl on which i put a validator to max filesize. problem is that the file is still being posted to the server which takes to long and only then it fails how can i check it before its uploaded to the server

well you are currect the asp.net Fileupload contorl does a postback and validates filesize on server. you can use this control http://ajaxuploader.com/ it is basically checking the selected file on the client side based on the limitations you set hope this helps :-) if you liked it dont forget to mark the answer as Accepted Answer

Hi You can set in web config.just add this entry in web config then it's not allow upload to server. Thank you
