Gujarati language in C#

Question

Hello Friends...
I am creating windows Application "Gujarati To English Dictionary" using C#.
In which i want that user type "tajmhal" from the keyboard and "???????" is displayed in the TEXTBOX at the same time.
ie. If "koml" , "????" is displayed. etc...
i downloaded and set font for the textbox to "Gujarati Saral-1" and it works.
but when i store that text of textbox to database its again "tajmhal" not "???????" and all.
so,please suggest me another solution for that.

Have you copied fonts in FONTS folder of windows and remember to set controls font property to gujrati in which you want to show gujrati fonts This will only happen when you copied fonts in FONTS folder of windows

Hi Make Sure You Should Declare Columns in Database with DataType like NVARCHAR instead of VARCHAR NCHAR instead of CHAR NTEXT instead of TEXT (or if on SQl2005 or later use NVARCHAR(MAX) instead of TEXT And Write Query as like as ordinary insert Statement insert into TablesName Values ( ) ----------------------------------------------------------- If it helps you then mark as Correct Answer

ya but i am not able to fetch gujarati latters from the textbox its always english alphabets as i said. if that happens then only i can store it to database. thanks a lot for help.

If you want to add this gujrathi font in database set the column datatype to nvarchar(max) and write the following query. _sql = Insert Into Tblname Values(N' + gujrathivalue+'); execute this query and see the result in database.
