How to learn ASP

Question

I have a SQL 2005 database which contains the path to Word documents and graphics. I would like to create a web site to display the files. I have never uses ASP .NET. What is the best way to get started learning how to create a simple web site? Any suggestions of beginner books or sites to visit?

Start with downloading Visual Studio 2005 or 2008 Express versions from MSDN website. These products are free. Here is the link for VS 2008: http://www.microsoft.com/express/ Here is the link for VS 2005: http://www.microsoft.com/express/2005/ (TRY THIS) Once you download create a new Website project and you are ready to go. After that you simply need a book or tutorial on how to work with ASP.NET.

I have SQL server and VS 2005. So i think I am set there. I seel a LOT of books out there. I am sure some are good and some arn't. Any recomendations for good ones?
